Here is how you will progress through the WebQuest:

1. Watch and read Visible Light via NASA (government resource) and Visible Light via National Geographic (web resource).

2. Complete this worksheet via LiveWorksheets (web resource), ideally downloaded and printed.

3. Watch and read Introduction to the Electromagnetic Spectrum via NASA (government resource).

4. Choose one type of electromagnetic energy (other than visible light), find an object that uses that type of energy, and draw a picture of it, noting the type of electromagnetic energy it uses and its wavelength.

5. Read Stars as Suns & The Plurality of Worlds via Library of Congress (primary source), paying close attention to the section "Prisms and Star Stuff."

6. Read page 3, note IV, "Definition of a Prism" in Key to the Complete Treatise on Practical Geometry and Mensuration by James Elliot (primary source).

5. Read and watch Volume of Triangular Prisms via CK-12 (web resource) and complete this worksheet via Math Worksheets 4 Kids (print this copy to show your work, and choose your answers at the worksheet link).

6. Read and watch Surface Area of Triangular Prisms via CK-12 (web resource) and complete this worksheet via Math Worksheets 4 Kids (print this copy to show your work, and choose your answers at the worksheet link).

7. Read The Science of Color via Smithsonian Libraries and Archives (local resource).
